Blackstrap was formed in late 2003 by Meg Woodruf (vox / accordion / guitar) and Cooper McBean (saw). Performing classic blues songs, folk tales and murder ballads, the band performed at a number of shows during 2004. The act disbanded due to time constraints and Meg's decision to move to Sacramento.
