Club Culture was a Santa Cruz venue opened in the mid-'80s by Rotten Richie, funded at least in part by the settlement he won in his civil rights lawsuit against UCSC. The club hosted many different kinds of bands, but Richie was sympathetic to the punk scene, having played drums in the Child Prostitutes and the Schematix.
