Caker and his Dogs, L-R: Drummer Pete Curry (hidden by cymbal), Caker Calloway, Marty Korth, D.J. Bernard. Not pictured is bassist Jim Musich who would be standing to the left. Of interest is the Premier drum kit. This kit was owned by Caker, and was left to his brother Dave Calloway following his death in 1998. Dave subsequently loaned the kit back to Curry, who keeps it in his recording studio in L.A. The kit is still in use, in Curry's studio and occasionally by Jason Smay of Los Straitjackets for some of LS's west coast shows. It's Dave's belief that Caker would have wanted the kit to be played, and played hard, rather than be left to collect dust in storage.
