Gillian Welch

While attending UCSC, Gillian Welch was in a college band called Sofa, and fell in with the circle of friends around local bluegrass band The Harmony Grits. After graduation, she attended Berkelee School of Music, where she met David Rowlings. Gillian and David now live in Nashville, with several albums to their name. Gillian has also had her music featured in several films, and was involved in the making of O Brother Where Art Thou.
