Jetlag was a Capitola punk band (1995 - 2000) that formed when Casey Cynar (guitar), Nik, KC Pearman (bass) / vox), Nik Hill (guitar) and Nate Fredrick (drums) were tweens at New Brighton Middle School. Jon Jamison joined in on bass after KC broke his hand. Early incarnations of the band featured two Jareds and a Jeff, but before any live gigs. Perinnial band friend Trevor Hill acted as manager and sometime roadie.

Jetlag's first show was a benefit organized by Sara Kishlansky and Rachel Pearl for homeless teens at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium, April 1996. They went on to play regular gigs at the Catalyst and toured the West Coast in the late 90s.

They put out a few demo tapes, and were later signed to Sessions records (Scotts Valley) in 1999.
