Psychedelic boyband rock was a style of music pioneered by the Santa Cruz pop band the Snaps. Said style of music has roots in the "Beatlemania"-era work of the Liverpool's the Beatles, and the Beatlemania-era work of their female fans. Coffee, the stage presence/image of Hate Mail Express and the Who, the Stone Roses and the Pink Floyd, manic depression, and the Supremes were also possible sources of inspiration.
