Richie. (real name: Richard Walker) was the drummer of Public Enemies and the Child Prostitutes, and also played briefly for the Schematix. One of the few African-American musicians on the Santa Cruz scene in the late 70's and early '80s, He was accosted by security guards and police at a show at UCSC on February 27, 1981. The guards' treatment of him was unduly harsh, and he sued the university on the grounds that his civil rights had been violated. He was the owner of Club Culture. He and the drummer from Tao Chemical share the same name.
