The Tastes Like Burning compilation was a indie, punk and folk comp organized by Pete Bernhard and Paul Davis in 2002.

Bands included on the comp included Sin In Space, the Automatones, Sweatitout, Audiocrush, the Shakes, Boaz Vilozny, the Spooks, the Roots of Orchis, Depth Charge Revolt and many others. While the comp was primarily Santa Cruz based, it featured a few out of town bands, including future Sub Pop stars the Thermals, Ill Lit and Zircles Unit.

The covers were hand screened and the insert art was drawn by local artist Koak.
